This specialty deals with heart disorders and vascular diseases, as well as certain parts of the circulatory system. Our partners provide comprehensive care for cardiac conditions: screening, diagnosis, interventional medical treatment, and intensive cardiac care.

This includes congenital heart defects, coronary diseases, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology.

Cardiac Functional Tests allow for all necessary diagnostics to be performed on site:

• Resting electrocardiogram
• Stress test (treadmill, bike, VO2 max)
• Transthoracic and transesophageal echo-Doppler
• Color Doppler of the arteries
• 24-hour ECG monitoring (Holter)
• 24-hour blood pressure monitoring
• Stress echocardiography (effort and Dobutamine)

Interventional Cardiology:

Diagnostic procedures

• Coronary angiography: A radiological exam of the coronary arteries to confirm and assess coronary disease, often performed via the radial artery for same-day discharge.
• Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS): For visualizing atherosclerosis inside vessel walls.
• Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR): Evaluates the functional severity of a coronary lesion.

Therapeutic procedures:

• Angioplasty: A percutaneous coronary intervention that restores blood flow in narrowed or blocked arteries. May be scheduled or done in emergencies.
• Structural heart interventions: Septal alcohol ablation for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
• Peripheral and aortic interventions: Including thoracic and abdominal aorta.

All procedures are performed under anesthesia. An anesthesiologist is always present to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Electrophysiology: Rhythm disorders are explored and treated in a specialized lab.

Rhythmology consultations allow for monitoring or reprogramming of implants. Specialist advice is available for cardiologists.
